Rediscovering Me

Rediscovering Me –
I can’t believe how much I’m looking forward to this either… the ‘meals’ and drinks… it’s like my body is waking back up after a semi-coma slumber. As though I have been moving through sludge… struggling to get out but clueless as to how, and now I’ve begun the process of climbing out of that pit with a set plan and the proper set of tools to actually do it.

I CAN’T WAIT!!! WooHoo!!! 🙂 Continue reading

How do you protect your Comforter?

I bought this as a possible bedding solution to the wear that my multiple dogs put to my comforter (and in the winters, down quilt), and because I love the feeling of soft sheets.
I honestly had never even thought of this before, and I don’t think I’ve actually heard of this type of product before it showed up in the review group I belong to.

Let me run down a few reasons why I like the Duvet Bedding Set:

  • It was super easy to use and the instructions were extremely clear on how to use the duvet cover.
  • The two Pillow Shams were very easy to use and cover the pillows with.
  • I liked the tone of the colors available.
Here’s a few of the ones I liked:

    • Sage Green
    • Chocolate Brown
    • Taupe Sand
  • The texture of the cover and the pillow sham coverings are incredible.
My autistic 7yr old comes in to lay down and just runs his hands over the duvet covering because of the softness.
  • The color is not harsh, but goes wonderfully with the color scheme in my room.
I think any color would work well, as they are beautifully made with wonderful colors, but muted so as not to take away from the bedroom scheme.
  • Extremely easy to wash, and dry.
  • I mentioned dogs earlier… this has helped wonderfully with keeping the shedding off the bed, and keeping the bedding nice beneath.
  • I love how they are packaged! So easy to open and remove the products, and store them again when changing them out.
  • They come in more than one size. You can get a set in King (which I own) all the way down to Twin!  I’ve even seen Cali-King in the sizes!

Honestly, I could not find a fault with this product.
Unless the desire to own more could be considered a ‘Con’.  😉 My kids are even begging for their own sets in full and twin sizes.

Here is what the company says about the Nestl Bedding Duvet Cover:

  • Luxury Soft Duvet Cover. Simply slip it over your comforter, duvet insert, or alternative down comforter sets. The Duvet Cover is very useful, it will protect your comforter and is super easy to remove and wash.

That last one… Making you a lifetime, happy customer… Yup.. right here 🙂

To me, the overall quality is top notch. I love that the product stands up to their claims.
The way the product was shipped was perfect for keeping it undamaged.
It appears to be well made, and will hold up to its intended use. Washing instructions are clear and precise.

I will be adding pictures at a later date. I was unable to upload them at this time.

I have enjoyed having/using the Kiddzo Squeeze Breeze Food Pouches, as have my children. While I love yogurt (and other messy things), as do my children, eating them on the go, or sending them in lunches is not the easiest … Continue reading

Review of Dazzling Toys’ Pizza Pie Party

The BEST feeling in the world, for me, has always been when my kids do something sweet for another person.
So I was totally thrilled when my son came over to my desk today and set his pizza pie toy set down and said: “Pizza time Mom. Take a break.” Continue reading

“O say can you see” ….. as our civil rights are taken away

Recently I came across an old article, Courts Kill Student Rights – Jonathan Turley, USA Today , that truly upset me.
It seems to me as though the courts are truly attempting to overlook all of our rights, starting in school. That wonderful place that molds and shapes the future of our nation. What happens to the fate of our great nation when the ones that vote the leaders into their places of power are taught that it doesn’t matter that you’re in the United States, and that the symbols of our nation don’t matter because it might offend other citizens on another country’s celebratory days? When the courts that are supposed to uphold our rights as granted us in the Bill of Rights and U.S. Constitution decide that we really don’t have the “Freedom of Speech”?

How can the Courts, all-be-it two different courts, rule that wearing an armband that symbolizes your opposition and protest of the Vietnam War in 1969, Tinker vs. Des Moines Independent Community School District, is a freedom granted to us under the 1st Amendment and then in 2014 the Federal appellate court in California rule that wearing clothing with the ‘Stars and Stripes’ on it is incendiary and disrespectful. The US Supreme Court quietly declined to hear the case concerning the Live Oak High School students.

On May 5th, 2010 the Live Oak High School’s principal had the children that wore the American flag shirts, turn their shirts inside out and those that failed to do so were sent home, for wearing this clothing at an American school. It shouldn’t matter if the school is helping the kids learn about another culture by celebrating Cinco de Mayo, or Chinese New Year, or any other holiday that is associated with a specific country.
Our country is supposed to be presented first within our country’s borders, therefore our flag flies above all other flags, within our country. Pride for our country should be cherished and nurtured, and yet pride in and for our country is on a fast-paced down-slide, an avalanche of sorts. When you feel pride and wish to show it, in whatever way, your considered an activist of sorts, or worse, and it’s basically being taught at grade level now, to “be more worried about what others will think and possibly find fault with then about what is right.”
