Rediscovering Me

Rediscovering Me –
I can’t believe how much I’m looking forward to this either… the ‘meals’ and drinks… it’s like my body is waking back up after a semi-coma slumber. As though I have been moving through sludge… struggling to get out but clueless as to how, and now I’ve begun the process of climbing out of that pit with a set plan and the proper set of tools to actually do it.

I CAN’T WAIT!!! WooHoo!!! 🙂 Continue reading

Book Light is just AMAZING, and then some!

Be ForeWarned!!!! When you receive this product it is in a little box.

When I saw it I thought, “WOW…. I got gypped! That box is waaaaay too little.”

Then, I opened it and was I surprised. Inside that ‘ittle, bittle, teeny, weeny box was a treasure!

#2, regular sized, Pencil added for comparison.

That treasure being, the LED Book Light.

It comes with an USB cable, and AC charger. (Gotta love when the charger is included and not just the cable… I get seriously annoyed when they don’t include the charger.)

The seller states this about the BOYON Eye Care Book Light:

  • Protects eyes.Natural and Non-flickering light. The LED lights provide soft light that is perfect for reading.

  • Long lasting, rechargeable battery, long-life ultra-bright LEDs and 5 brightness levels. This unique lamp also comes complete with a USB cord and wall outlet for charging versatility. And it will charge fully in 3 hours and will operate for up to 12 hours without recharging.

  • The adjustable, dual arm, gooseneck design allows for easy light adjustment!Just bend each light to your desired angle and position. The sturdy clamp is very strong and features adjustable grip allowing a secure placement on a range of different surface thicknesses.

  • This BOYON light is very small & convenient making it the perfect tool for those on-the-go: such as students, travelers, drivers, etc. …One need only clip the base of the light and adjust arms and brightness as desired. And the base can also be used as a stand for lights on flat surfaces.

  • Our goal is 100% satisfaction. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us directly. No question is too small.

To me, that last statement is the all-important one.
Sure…. We love that it protects our eyes as avid book readers.
We love that it is long-lasting AND rechargeable.
We love that it’s totally adjustable, because really… when is a lamp ever “just right”?
And of course, being small and easy to take where-ever is truly important… You never know when you’re going to find that perfect place to read, or when it’s going to be a long wait time.
BUT….. 100% satisfaction????
NO Question is too SMALL?
That’s what I, an avid reader at night, love to hear from a company.

I could not find a Con.
No, seriously… I couldn’t find one. I have left this book light in the hands of my 11 yr old son, and his 7yr old brother, for 14 days and it’s still looking and working great.
My 11yr old uses it to read every night before bed…. I’ve only had to recharge it once!

The Pros:
* It truly is long-lasting!

* Who doesn’t LOVE something that is so versatile and easy to use?!?

*It folds up so small! You can pack it in a purse if needed! (I have)

*The light is soooo bright, and with TWO positional lights you get total coverage of the pages so that you’re not stressing your eyes.

* I’ve used it as a night light for my youngest when his night light wasn’t working. Yes… It does clip to almost EVERY thing.

*It has a durability that just amazes me.

*I may have to buy a second one.
( Ok… this isn’t so much a “Pro” as it is an opinion…. but something that proves its-self to me in such a way that I consider buying a second one says a lot about the product.)

To me, the overall quality is wonderful for this little (itty-bitty) LED book light. It lives up to claims made by the seller. The way the product was shipped by Amazon was perfect for keeping it nice and undamaged.
I highly recommend this to anyone that reads at night or in low lighted areas.

Okay… now for the part I have to state…
~Full Disclosure: This item was supplied to me at a reduced price by the seller in exchange for my honest and truthful review. I am not told what to write, nor will I remove a negative review/remark/rating if that is what I feel the product deserves. My words are my own, and this review is based upon my personal experience with this item.~

I have enjoyed having/using the Kiddzo Squeeze Breeze Food Pouches, as have my children. While I love yogurt (and other messy things), as do my children, eating them on the go, or sending them in lunches is not the easiest … Continue reading

The Four Doves

Whilst walking in the stormy way
I looked up and saw four doves
A day short of Mother’s Day

They lit upon the wire
Strung between the poles
They sat and returned my stare

It’s been so long since I saw a dove
And here were four
Highlighted against the bleak rolling gray
By a ray of light
As though a hole ‘twas ripped in the sky

My heart began to ache
Four loved ones gone
My sweet loving Grandpa
A true Cowboy now in Heaven
One dove flew away.

A sob caught in my throat
My wonderful Aunt
A second mother to all her nieces and nephews
Now spends her days with the baby she never got to raise
The second Dove took flight.

Tears began to fall from my eyes,
The sky let a soft mist
My Mother and Father now in my mind’s eye
“I love you and miss you”
The third Dove took wing.

“I miss you so much Mom”
So many times I want to talk
Her voice, captured on a disk
It’s not the same
“Mom, I love you. I know you’re there.
Watching over us.”
The last Dove lifted in the air,
Hovered but didn’t take off.

“Happy Mother’s Day, Mom”
The Fourth Dove turned and circled above,
Then took off towards the others in a tree.
All four in flight,
Following the light.
Four Doves,
Watching over me.

Musings From An Upset Mind

Now… lately there seems to be a string of childish behavior. An epidemic really, and I’d like to address it.

I can’t voice any one else’s opinion on this subject, as I don’t know it, but I can voice mine and so far all I can come up with is – Some people need to grow the *insert any word of choice here* up!!!!

We are adults, childish behavior needs to be left behind with the childhood, or in some cases “teen”, years and if you still feel the need to act like an adolescent then feel free to put on a diaper and grab a bottle. Childish behavior helps no-one and gains you absolutely no sympathizers, although in some cases as people tend to lie quiet well they do have some.
How I wish the truth could be voiced to them but what good would it do? We must wait on Karma, as people will always “reap what they sow”in the end.

Now, this type of behavior does, howsoever, in most cases gain you the title of “Self-Centered B****”, be you male or female. It gains you the ability to look like someone who hasn’t learned that the world doesn’t revolve around you, and is able to isolate you into a place that no-one wants to be.

I’m tired of the “Poor, Poor Pity Me” trip and people who tell lies to gain whatever gram of sympathy they can from people who truly just want to love you for you and be there as family, friends, to just be together.

I guess that’s all I have to say on this now other than, No-one is a pawn to be used by another. We are all individuals who create our own happiness and are entitled to that happiness as well as keeping that freewill that allows us to keep those who wish to bring us down out of our lives.

The flip-side of this is that when those who have wronged us may or may not be able to enter our lives without a door being there for them to use.
So when/if we tell those who continually bring us headaches to take a hike because we don’t need, nor desire the stress they induce upon our lives, we should also allow them the door to enter our lives again. We can accept the apology, or just accept that they have changed, until evidence contrary to this presents it’s self. And hopefully those who are family will realize we love them and want them as a member of our lives, but we hold the right to be individuals without requiring their permission to be who we are. We also hold the right to kick them out again should they begin the same BS again. Unlike a child… an “Adult” doesn’t require more than one chance, and is old enough to know that a true apology means they WON’T repeat the behavior and will do all that is necessary to prevent a repeat performance.

These are my thoughts and now that it is off my chest I feel slightly better. I hope this little rant of mine can help another but if not, It does help me.

Warmest Wishes and Wonderful Thoughts to you,

Ya-Ya

P.S. Do not let the “Emotional Vampires” of the world “suck the life” out of your day. Be strong, and continue being positive.
